How to use the visualiser tool:
The fastest way to sample colour is with the Dulux colour visualisation tool. Available on select colour pages, the tool can help you see how different paint colours can transform a space.
With just a few clicks, you can instantly visualise new colours, browse different palette options and explore how you can bring your next paint project to life.
Go to dulux.co.nz/colour/ and choose your colour
2. Select the ‘View colour in home gallery’ button below the colour blob.
3. Upload your own image or scroll down to choose from the 29 demonstration images provided.
Tips when using your own image:
Interior photos work better than exteriors.
Ensure your room is well-lit and the walls you are painting are prominent in the photo.
The floor and ceiling should also be visible.
Avoid staircases and half walls if possible.
If colour has been applied to areas where colour is not wanted use the ‘Remove Colour’ selection tool (tick areas where colour need to be removed, untick areas where colour should be).
To compare two colours follow these steps:
With the first colour applied click the ‘Compare’ tool below the uploaded image
To add a colour click ‘Left’ below image, then search for your second colour, either by searching for the colour name or by using the filter function to search by colour group
Slide the arrow across to compare side by side
Once you are happy with your visualisation, at the top of the image you can download or share an image or order a sample.
NOTE: Colours displayed may be subject to variations due to screen settings, and should be used as a guide only for your colour selection. To ensure accuracy, please test your colour choices by ordering Dulux sample pots and A4 colour swatches.
How To Choose White Paint
Dulux have just released an updated version of the Dulux Most Loved Whites & Neutrals colour card. The new colour card is designed to make choosing whites and neutrals easier and contains the most loved colours from the Dulux Colours of New Zealand range.
The new card includes 30 chipped colours and all new inspirational images. Popular whites, greys and neutrals are split into five easy to use sections (including cool, warm and neutral whites).
Warm Neutrals Lead The Way For Autumn And Winter
Our new colour trends for Autumn and Winter seasonale trends feature serene, muted colours that evoke calm and a subtle sense of luxury. Based on the Still palette from 2025 Dulux Colour Forecast, this palette has an underlying warmth, with calming neutrals, earthy yellows, soft green and cool blues.

*Average consultation is 2 hours.
